Residential Courses Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a special visa for the residential course?

No, you don’t; you get a one-month tourist visa at the Bangkok Airport. If you want to study for a longer term, we'll arrange an education visa for you


What do I need to know for my first day?

When you arrive at your accommodation, you will receive a package with all the information you need for your English/Chinese course.


What teaching method does LCC International use?

LCC International students learn through the communicative method of teaching. This means that classroom time is spent on using real-life, practical situations to focus on the four key language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classroom activities reflect real situations, and are structured so students communicate as much as possible.


What time will I have my lessons?

The lessons start ordinarily at 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. You can enjoy your stay and in the evening, you are going to take the lesson. We reserve the right to change the lesson’s time table.


Do you offer courses for students of all English levels?

All of our courses have beginner to upper-intermediate classes; business English starts with an intermediate level.


Will there be teachers who speak my native language?

We teach our courses purely in English or Chinese. However, our instructors speak German, French, Spanish and Italian as well.


How many students are there per class?

Our course is unique; you study “One on One” or with your buddy or friend advised by your tutor.


How many lessons per week will I take in my course?

You are going to take 28 (twenty eight) lessons a week; except the departure day.


How long is one lesson?

A standard lesson is 45 minutes.


Can I choose my start date?

Yes, you can start when you want.


Should I be covered by insurance?

You should have valid medical insurance for your entire stay. In many countries in the world it is possible to apply for a supplementary holiday insurance which covers the risk according to your regularl health care insurance.


How old do I have to be to take a LCC holiday language course?

For our holiday program, you must be at least 18 years old. However, there is a parental program for younger students. The parents who accompany their juniors stay with him/her in the same apartment and bring him/her to LCC. Please be advised, only two people can stay in one apartment. For this service, we charge weekly $100 extra.
